Hi,

Here is new trick to give a fire effect to your text.

Following are the steps for effect:

  • Open a new file and set mode as a Grayscale.
  • Fill the background with black color.
  • Type a text in white color which you want to give fire effect.

  • Place the text in the lower part of the image.
  • Then flatten image. (Layer > Flatten image.)
  • Image > Rotate Canvas > 90 CCW.

  • Image > Adjust > Invert.
  • Filter > Stylize >Wind, set Direction to From the Right.

  • Image > Adjust > Invert.
  • Filter > Stylize > Wind.
  • Filter > Stylize > Wind.

  • Image >Rotate Canvas > 90 CW.
  • Filter > Distort > Ripple. I set Amount to 61; you can play with it a bit.

  • Image > Mode > Indexed Color.
  • Image > Mode > Color Table, set Table: to Black Body.

Take any photo or artwork and create a pencil sketch as detailed or shaded as you want with a few simple steps.

Step 1: Take a photo which you want to give sketch effect.

Step 2: Desaturate the layer. Image + Adjustments + Desaturate (Shft +Ctrl + U).

Step 3: Duplicate the “Background” layer.

Step 4: Inverse the “Background” layer. ( Ctrl + I).

Step 5: Give Gaussian Blur effect to that layer.(Filter + Blur + Gaussian Blur). Use Radius 10 to 12 pixels.

Step 6: And last but not the least Apply Color Dodge layer effect.
